For Central South University's Xiangya Second Hospital, HVAC equipment has always been a critical facility component – continuous cooling for a daily average of 5,000 outpatients directly impacts the patient experience, and the energy consumption of its 396,000 m2 medical space significantly affects operational costs. Previously, however, traditional HVAC equipment was mired in the predicament of "persistently high energy consumption and poor cooling stability," becoming a major obstacle to the hospital's push for a "Green Healthcare" upgrade.
Overcoming this obstacle required close collaboration and joint efforts from multiple parties for the energy-saving renovation of this medical facility. Special thanks are due here: to Xiangya Second Hospital for defining the demand direction, to Hunan Provincial Architectural Design Institute for providing the professional design plan, and to State Grid Hunan Comprehensive Energy Service Co., Ltd. for handling operation and management. The concerted efforts of these three parties laid a solid foundation for the successful implementation of the project.
It was precisely based on this close collaboration that after the hospital introduced MULTISTACK Jiefeng's magnetic levitation + modular units, it not only successfully resolved the previous energy usage pain points but also recently secured two authoritative recognitions, providing tangible, substantive proof of the technology's true value.
01. Technical Support Behind the National CNAS Certification

The Inspection Certificate issued by the National Building Energy Efficiency Quality Inspection and Testing Center (accredited by CNAS) shows that the project's comprehensive seasonal energy efficiency ratio (EER) during the cooling season reached 5.70, higher than the average level for medical industry air conditioning systems. At the core of this achievement lies the technical advantage of the MULTISTACK Jiefeng flooded magnetic levitation unit: patented magnetic bearing technology eliminates mechanical friction, achieving an energy saving rate of over 40% while significantly reducing operational noise, thereby not interfering with environmentally sensitive areas like the ICU and Neonatology Department. This third-party authoritative test report stands as solid recognition of MULTISTACK Jiefeng's magnetic levitation technology performance.
02.Industry Demonstration Recognition: Objective Affirmation of Energy-Saving Results

Thanks to remarkable achievements in energy saving and carbon reduction, the Xiangya Second Hospital project was successfully selected as a "Demonstration Project for Public Institution Energy Management Trusteeship." After the project's commissioning, the hospital's comprehensive energy efficiency increased by 21%, with annual reductions of 81 tons of carbon dioxide emissions and 31 tons of standard coal saved – achieving verifiable carbon reduction targets while ensuring the energy demands of over 5,000 daily outpatient and emergency visits. These figures are the best proof of the energy-saving effectiveness of MULTISTACK Jiefeng's magnetic levitation technology. As a demonstration case for energy-saving renovations in public institutions, this project not only provides a replicable model of "technology adaptation + benefit realization" for similar medical scenarios but also reflects the industry's high recognition of the practicality of MULTISTACK Jiefeng's magnetic levitation technology.

From the technical certification of authoritative testing to the practical recognition of an industry demonstration, MULTISTACK Jiefeng's magnetic levitation technology, through the Xiangya Second Hospital project, has tangibly addressed the energy usage pain points in a medical setting. These two recognitions serve as both a "report card" of the project's achievements and a "cornerstone of trust" for MULTISTACK Jiefeng's service to the healthcare industry. In the future, MULTISTACK Jiefeng will continue to focus on the core needs of medical institutions for "Energy Efficiency, Reliability, and Low Carbon," leveraging its proven and certified technical capabilities to provide more hospitals with actionable and verifiable HVAC solutions, thereby helping the healthcare industry accelerate its green transformation.
